About 2 and a half hours away from Vegas is Zion National Park in Utah. We left for Zion on Monday morning after having breakfast at Hash House in Las Vegas. On the way to Zion, we stopped in St. George to get some lunch and go to Target. By the time we arrived in Zion, the sun was almost going down so we checked in to our hotel then entered the park to hike Emerald Pools and explore. When we started walking, there were so many colorful leaves on the ground and all over the trees.
This is the waterfall over the Weeping Rock Trail on the way up to Emerald Pools.
The next morning, we woke up to drive to the main canyon to hike Angels Landing. On the way there, there was a lot of traffic and we finally same to a sign that said, "Road Closed." There were a ton of cars and one person who was stopping at each car to tell them that the National Park Service had closed the road because the lots inside were full. Our options were to try to find a parking spot somewhere else or to go back later in the afternoon. Since it was our only full day in Zion, we drove to the nearest spot... 4 miles away from the start of our hike.
This is us not being bitter and walking 4 miles to our 5 mile hike.. :)
Once we started the hike, I couldn't believe how beautiful the scenery looked. The whole way up was super steep, but it was too amazing not to keep hiking up. A hiker offered to take our picture at this point and I'm so glad he did because it is my favorite picture from the trip. :)
This is the trail up to the point where we had our picture taken.

We finally made it to Scout's Lookout and there were so may people up there! People were taking the craziest pictures hanging their feet over the edge of the 1000 foot cliffs. I couldn't get even close to the edge, but we tried to get a few pictures.
Bren was most excited about all of the squirrels (which are actually chipmunks I guess).
On the way back down the mountain.
The Virgin River.
Our 4 mile walk back to the car.
Finally made it back to our car!
Sunset walk to dinner.
Hot chocolate on the balcony. :)
This the is view from our hotel. We had so much fun on our trip. I wish we could have stayed longer! We are excited to go back and try Observation Point and Narrows.
